Current Month's Activities
Mothers’ Morning Out Charter
Welcome new students and volunteers! Most of you know by now that Mother’s Morning Out is a non-profit community outreach program that provides a few hours a week, quality child care for parents who have no alternate care plan. Our Moms enjoy a morning of shopping, lunch with a friend, visit to a beauty shop, keep a doctor’s appointment, or maybe just time alone. Our preschoolers experience warm and loving care and socialization with their teachers and peers. The Little Chapel is blessed to have volunteers that shower their love, devotion and talents on all those associated with M.M.O. whether they are children, parents, grandparents, or other volunteers. Visit us on Tuesday or Wednesday morning if you want to see God's work blooming! If you know of a mom who needs a “Sanity Break,” she can get on our waiting list by calling Linda Allen, Director

Africa Missionary Update from Larry Sthreshley –
I am currently in Nairobi, Kenya, helping facilitate a workshop on transitioning health programs in Southern Sudan from humanitarian to development assistance. This afternoon I am following up the workshop with a meeting with our Presbyterian partners in Sudan to help them get linked into some of the large programs that are starting up in Sudan. Tomorrow I will fly back to Kinshasa, where we are in the middle of working on Global Fund proposals for Malaria and HIV/AIDS. The deadline for proposals is February 15th. We are also in the process of finalizing our contract with World Food Program and UNICEF for the CPK feeding program this year. They have doubled the amount of children they will be feeding. They will now be distributing 78 tons of food every month. It is a busy time.
