Little Chapel on the Boardwalk's
WARM Alternative Christmas Market (TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHRISTMAS MARKET, CLICK HERE) |
Don’t know what to give your family and friends for the holidays? Is it getting harder to find something perfect for the special people in your life? Do you want to avoid going out into crowded stores? Would you like to get your shopping done early, before Thanksgiving?
Well, you are in luck! We have the answer right here at Little Chapel. During November, you may select meaningful alternative gifts that will help others in need and honor those you love.
Once again, our Mission Committee is focusing on local needs, particularly in the light of recent hurricanes, floods, and the COVID-19 pandemic. You may donate funds by “sponsoring” different tools and supplies that will be used to help the Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry (WARM) as volunteers work to repair homes damaged in recent storms. All of the homes are in such condition that they jeopardize the health and safety of the residents, many of whom are elderly and frail. WARM already had many homes on their project waiting list, but the list is now longer because WARM had to temporarily limit work because of the pandemic.
There will be NO indoor market in the fellowship hall this year, but there is still a way that your donations will help WARM to keep these projects on track. Check out the Shopping List in our November newsletter or CLICK HERE to go directly to it , and plan your gift-giving with a warm heart. A gift card will be created for each donation if you choose, and you may wish to send or present it to someone you'd like to honor.
There are 5 simple steps to complete your special shopping trip as explained on the shopping list order form.
This year, we are offering an optional total online process whereby you can place your order via this website, and you can also pay online using a credit card or PayPal. During November, you may also visit the volunteer table in the parking lot on any Sunday 15 minutes before or after worship to get more information, pick up an order form, pay for your order, etc.
We are so blessed to be able to support our neighbors in New Hanover County! If you have any questions about the marketplace or WARM, please contact Beckey Smith, Carole Coble, Terry Paterson, Ann Martz, or Mary Jo Kohunsky.
