Our Story
Founded
Over 100 years of community
Welcome to Little Chapel on the Boardwalk, a cherished haven since 1905, born from the collaborative spirit of St. James Episcopal Church and First Presbyterian Church of Wilmington. This beautiful sanctuary was established to offer Sunday worship services to Wilmington's early beachcombers, whether they owned cozy cottages, camped under the stars, or vacationed on the picturesque Wrightsville Beach. Today, our doors are open to everyone seeking a peaceful retreat and a sense of community. Join us in this special place where history, nature, and fellowship intertwine, creating an experience that's as rejuvenating as it is inspiring. Come, be a part of our story and make some unforgettable memories of your own at our scenic beachside chapel.
